Birth & Postpartum Doulas

 Birth Doulas or Labor Assistants provide emotional and physical support to a woman and her partner, suggest comfort measures, assist with providing information for making informed decisions, assist with creating a birth plan, facilitate a "birth team", and remind clients that pregnancy and birth are normal, natural, life processes.

Postpartum Doulas

-Offers education, companionship and nonjudgmental support during the postpartum fourth trimester
-Assists with newborn care, family adjustment, meal preparation and light household tidying
-Offers evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents and makes appropriate referrals when necessary
